Finalo® is used by adult men to treat male pattern hair loss (MPHL or androgenetic alopecia, known as AGA) in the middle of the scalp or at the top of the head. The active ingredient Finasteride halts hair loss and promotes hair regrowth. Treatment with Finalo® normally takes 3 to 12 months, meaning user should be patient to get the desirable improvement.

Active Ingredient
Description
Finalo® is manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals.
MPHL is a common condition where a great number of men worldwide suffer from mild to moderate scalp hair loss of the vertex and anterior mid-scalp.
This is a hereditary condition, characterized by a particular sensitivity of the hair follicles to the male sex hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). High levels of DHT can cause the hair follicle to miniaturize and atrophy.
Finasteride acts as a trichogenic agent promoting hair growth. Finasteride is an oral type II 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that prevents the conversion of testosterone to the potent androgen 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Dramatically reducing levels of DHT (by up to 60%), Finasteride stops hair loss process and facilitates hair growth.
When used in higher doses, Finasteride tablets (Finast®, Fincar®, Proscar®, Prosteride®) can be used to treat other symptoms such as benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), female hirsutism (in non-pregnant women with PCOS or with idiopathic hirsutism).
Dosage
Finalo® for the MPHL treatment is available in tablets. Each tablet contains 1 mg of Finasteride.
Take one tablet orally (by mouth) once a day, with or without food.
You should take the Finalo® at the same time every day.
Take Finalo® daily for at least 3 months or more if necessary before any noticeable results occur.
If Finalo® has not worked for you over a 12 months course then it is unlikely that further treatment will benefit.
Do not stop taking Finalo® suddenly, as any therapeutic benefits will be reversed.
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you want to stop the treatment before time or if you are intended to prolong treatment.
